Nualolo is the name of a trail in Koke'e state park on Kaua'i.  The song came out of nowhere during a very long and hot uphill hike.

If I get to wake up after I die

after I die, after I die

If I get to wake up,

after I die, after I die

If I get to wake up after I die

Hope they remember I like apple pie

If you go before me, don’t forget to sing

Don’t forget to sing, don’t forget to sing

If you go before me

Don’t forget to sing, don’t forget to sing

If you go before me don’t forget to sing

Don’t want to wait for telephone to ring

If you are the last one, turn out the light

turn out the light, turn out the light

If you are the last one

turn out the light, turn out the light

If you are the last one turn out the light

Might be dark so be sure to wear white

If I could be Hendrix after I die

after I die, after I die

If I could be Hendrix

After I die, after I die

If I could be Hendrix after I die

Hope you will excuse me while I kiss the sky

If we get to wake up after we die

after we die, after we die

If we get to wake up,

after we die, after we die

If I get to wake up after we die

Hope they remember we like apple pie

(and every other kind of pie we can think of)
